I’ve noticed our short-haired cat
Jezebel goes through phases every few years during which she is either more or
less sociable. Here you can see which way the pendulum has swung.
Tilly, however, does
eventually get tired of sharing her favorite cat bed (yes, they have several,
way more options than we humans have). That usually occurs when Jezebel goes
into an excessive grooming mode. I believe that’s what happened here after I left
the room.

Hey, Where'd You Go? |
But never fear, Tilly found
an acceptable alternative that still kept her within a few feet of my SO. This box
has been saved for another purpose.
Oh, well. We’ll get there eventually.
Then again, this little
kitten has an even better idea. And I am jealous, quite frankly.

Our cat Toffee is very anti-social and the only people she cuddles up to are my husband and me. She just about tolerates everyone else - if she has to!
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar. ~grin~ The cat sitters, who met all three of our girls when Luna was still alive, never see hide nor hair of Jezebel these days. It's sad, really. They miss her, though Tilly more than makes of for her absence I understand.
DeleteCats in boxes - so cute! We used to have a cat that loved paper grocery bags. Have a wonderful weekend, Darla :-)
ReplyDeleteLuna went nuts over bags! I hope you have a lovely weekend, too.
Deletehaha...you are so funny. What is it about boxes and plastic bags that cats like? I leave a box or bag laying around and Lily is up in it. But....let me tape up that box and cut entry holes in it and she wants no part in it. I don't know. They do keep life interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm so thrilled when my silly humor amuses. ~hugs~ Animals sure do keep us on our toes. Jezebel went after my chicken today so hard I finally put a few tidbits on an empty cat food plate. She gobbled those and then got in my face again. ~shakes head~ I didn't have the heart to force her off the table.
DeleteCardboard boxes, one of the Necessities of Cats! Or so my own cats are always informing me. :) Hopefully Jezebel is enjoying her new space...for now. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're so silly. All is well tonight. Thanks for the kind word!
DeleteSuch cute kitties. Mine never get that close- except when attacking one another.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind word. And I'm sorry for your travails! That's so sad you don't have peaceful relations between your critters. I'm stunned. You're such an excellent caretaker; I'd think they would follow along in your spirit.
DeleteThat can't be comfortable. For the human. As we all know, cats will perch anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThey are funny that way. Thanks for visiting, my dear.
DeleteHello there new friend. Dad's attention was grabbed by the cute kitty photos, so we stopped by to see what it's all about. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found us! I really enjoyed reading some of your blog posts.
DeleteHad to come back and see what you were up to after Monday Sparks. The boy and his kitten is too darn cute! Love your cats and your Study in Cats!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That 'boy' is delightfully dirty with his humans, too, I'm happy to say. Be well!
DeleteYour kitties are so beautiful and content looking.
ReplyDeleteI think they are very happy. ~hugs~ Be well!
