To quote Annie of McGuffy’sReader, the bright spirited blog where she created Sparks Mondays, “I
believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to
shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see
each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
I don’t know why, but the
band Bon Jovi tends to be put down by folks a lot. They’re sort of like
Nickelback that way. And I’m sorry, but I’ve enjoyed concerts by both groups. That
said, I decided to follow my ongoing theme of inspirational quotes by musicians and go
with one by John Bongiovi (see what he did with his name there? And yes, I’ve
been an obsessive music geek since grade school).
Thanks again to Brainy Quote. The image is my own.

Oh yes, I have noticed you are a music geek....and that is cool. When I was in high school a geek was someone that was uncool. Smarty pants as far as brains. I have learned as I grew that geeks can be anybody! My son, loves letting others know that he is a geek, him and his wife. I love that they are free with their thoughts and how they live life. They are responsible where bills and work....but so free and geeky with life! They are going to decorate the living room in Star Wars! He is 30 and she is 32 about to get her PhD. HAHA....I guess you could say I was a craft geek, or an art geek....but just giving me the nickname ARTIST would pretty much sum it up!! Morning Geeky Music Darla !
ReplyDeleteYou are an artist, indeed. ~hugs~ It's funny how the word 'geek' has been owned and transformed. In my FB group Geek Asylum one gal complained that a friend insists she is *not* a geek because she isn't a gamer. Ha! I spent much of my adulthood denying the title science fiction geek, always blaming whatever SO shared my life at the time before finding a list of shows and movies featuring an astounding number I watched alone. Owning the title freed my spirit. ~snicker~ Now I'm going to share all this on Dakota and Lily's blog for you to find. Heh...
DeleteTo some, everything is a miracle and to others, nothing is a miracle. It's all a matter of perspective and worldview. I love the blue tint in your photo. It makes everything look very serene and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteSo true! Thank you for the kind word.
DeleteI've never been a Bon Jovi fan, but I've never had anything against them. Just a metal aversion when I was a teen. (Well, anything "mainstream" was anathema to me when I was a teen. All alternative all the time. I've since expanded my horizons.)
ReplyDeleteGood for you on expanding your tastes. Amusingly, at one time Bon Jovi was a struggling group considered far from mainstream. Heh... Funny how times change. And I'm resistant to watching TV and movies most folks tout, like 'Seinfeld' back in the day and 'Big Bang Theory', which I find tedious. ~grin~ Be well!
DeleteI like this quote! Miracles DO happen every day! Waking up is a miracle in itself! There is not a day that something hasn't happened which was just exactly what I needed at the time, whether a good thing or a lesson, but always what I need. All kinds of delightful things occur too, and things work out in ways better than ever expected. Life is a miracle and having friends and family to share it with makes it even better!
ReplyDeleteJosie Two Shoes ~ Sparks
Your attitude made my day. ~grin~ Thank you!
DeleteI used to watch Ally McBeal all the time and he used to make occasional appearances in it and I started loving his songs.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. Seldom watching that show, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing.
DeleteI like Bon Jovi and I LOVE Nickelback. Great spark!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thank you, my dear. Be well!
DeleteI'm here! It will be nice to get into a routine. WordPress is so much easier; I just need a routine. Okay...I LOVE THIS! Your image is awesome. Well, done, Creative One. Love you lots!
ReplyDeleteI set up blogs to visit in my browser bookmarks, some daily while others are grouped in ones or twos under a folder named for each day of the week. ~hugs~ Thanks for the kind word. Love you, too!
DeleteCan't believe two of us selected this same quote this week. It is definitely a good one, and I really like the photo you selected for it.
ReplyDeleteHow cool. Thank you for the kind word.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so very true. There are indeed miracles around us all the time. We just need to look in the right way.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
Agreed. Hope you're well!
DeleteOh, I do believe in those little miracles and am thankful for them. We just have to be open to them. Ordering the "Tao of Pooh"... thanks for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. And cool! I hope you enjoy the book.
DeleteDarla,
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late visit. I'm stumbling over my feet this week and keep forgetting to return to Annie's link up to find my way back to your site. Anywho, I like Jon Bon Jovi's quote. I didn't know that this little tidbit about his name - cool! Have a good afternoon and I'll see ya around! ;)
Hey, no worries. I appreciate the visit. Be well!
