The Casualties of Curious Cats

Last I checked, none of our
clothes sported ears...

Snuggle Buddies

Not as innocent as they look...
That's okay. These curtains,
often clawed by Jezebel,
are very old. And a
tie-back hides this
new, fatal tear.

This old tent didn't hold up, either. First,
the Dactyl sisters tore a toy mouse off
its string, then ripped apart the base
long ago affixed with duct tape.
Wire frame exposed, it's been
tossed out and replaced.

Tarra's Fun with Lamp Shades!

Guess who found a dusty, unstable shelf?
The office door is currently closed.

Polly scopes out the aquarium while
Terra jumps on top, of course.

I found three (!) of the rattly mice
Terra loves stored brand new
among unused cat toys.
Jackpot!

Jezebel finds solace in this Cartman doll.
Who knew a cranky "South Park"
character could give a sweet old
kitty comfort? I brought it
out for Polly. She acted
lost upstairs at first.

  1. Yes they can tear up lots of stuff, but they are so worth it. Adorable. I'm going to link this post to Awww Mondays. Love of Awww here.

Have a fabulous day, Darla. Hugs to you and scritches to the kitties. ♥

  4. The ears in the laundry basket is a cute photo Darla. Also I like how one of the Kitties is thinking of fish for dinner. This is the first time I've seen a South Park doll. I remember my eldest son was about 12 when South Park first came on TV here. He was all excited about this new cartoon show everyone at school had been talking about. He'd been told it was a lot like the Simpsons. By about 5 minutes into it I was shocked by the foul language & it never was watched in out home again.

  6. Sounds ike an exciting time at your house! Jo Jo is a climber and she knocked EVERYTHING off the top shelf downstairs this afternoon (she's 8)! What a mess! Have a marvellously Happy Day!

  7. Oh the joy of kittens!! I got LUCKY with Lily, she was a perfect girl. She only showed interest in TP!! But Misty loves to CLIMB up the back and the arms of the couch instead of jumping. She has snagged some curtains, they are tied up now. I heard horror stories of kittens climbing curtains and blinds after I got Lily and I was preparing my mind for it, but like I said, she was perfect, Misty on the other hand, might be more of a challenge. I TOTALLY love that those two snuggle like that. I am so happy you decided to get the pair and give them a loving home. Hoping Jezebel is coping okay with them. Lily is and is not....she plays with Misty but I think she hates that Misty is the one to jump her first! Then out of the blue she will do the low meow, jump Misty and hiss.....I have no clue. She was so loving before I got Misty that I thought she would do ok....and I worried about Chey. Chey has not been the issue but Lily has been. Shocker.

    1. Hang in there, my dear. It's slow going. You know the old saying, "two steps forward; one step back". ~hugs~ One never knows how animals will react.
