I hate to see anything that I have known through my life die esp when I had to wrack my brain to learn it! haha....But I don't usually write in cursive, I print most of the time. Actually I do a mix of both but more printing. With someone, not me, that has beautiful hand writing, cursive looks so nice.
I just love writing (messy) cursive in my journals. ~grin~ I remember coming home to tell my mother the day we started learning cursive and she didn't understand until I rephrased it as 'longhand'.
Even though my cursive is like a child's writing, I think it is a shame it is no longer taught. I blame my being left-handed as a reason for my bad writing.
If I had a dollar for every time a kiddo whined, "But I can't read cursive..." I would never have to work again. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me very sad.
DeleteI used to like writing fancy squiggly letters when I was little, but I didn't know it was called cursive then. But yeah, not all that practical!
ReplyDeleteLearning how was one of the most exciting days of my early life. ~grin~ Be well!

ReplyDeleteOh, my darlin', lefties rock. I write messy either hand, both of which I've practiced for mental stimulation. Love you!
