To quote Annie of McGuffy’sReader, the bright spirited blog where she created Sparks Mondays, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
On Friday I thanked a man for
holding a door open as I entered the lobby of a local YMCA, finished with my
swim. As I reached the main entrance he gave me what sounded like a standard
friendly greeting – “Have a great day” – to which I replied, “You, too!” Then
it dawned on me what words he actually spoke and knew I had found my spark for
today.
“Make a
great day!” – Anonymous
Inspired twist on an old
phrase, don’t you think?
A most inspired twist! It becomes a very proactive statement instead of simply hoping we'll have a great day. Well said! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you appreciate it. Thank you for visiting with a kind word. Be well!
DeleteMake a great day....nice. You know a lot of times it is how we except things around us that depends on our day. Now mind you I say that and I also know that there are those days that come around that you can't just take things the way they are and have a good day!!! I pretty much make it a point to laugh things off where years ago it seemed my days were bad cause I got pissed about everything. Then there are those days where things are not going right with everything I touch and I have to remind myself....LAUGH, LAUGH! So.....make yourself a good day ....and laugh!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to imagine you getting angry at everything. ~hugs~ Laughter is so importnat! Make a great day, my dear.
DeleteI LOVE that!
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiration!

DeleteOh, my gosh...Darla...I say this and have for many years. I think I started it about 25 years ago, when I worked as a teaching assistant. Iwas trying to get the kids to do their best. It worked. They began to realize that they had some power in it. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome. ~hugs back~ I should not be at all surprised you've used this phrase, especially for having started these sparks.
