Today my partner and I hauled
our two elderly cats to the veterinary clinic for their yearly check-ups. Both gained
a little weight due to someone
handing out wet food several times a day but, as my title indicates, are
otherwise in great health. I’m ecstatic.
They were very happy to get
back in their carriers afterward. Tilly goes right back to normal once home.
Face Plant in the Cat Bed |
Jezebel
takes a little more time to chill out. At home I immediately dumped my jacket on the bed so I could check the claw marks on my back and shoulder courtesy of pre-exam jitters. Jezzy was on it before I had the antibiotic ointment put away.

Who do you dread seeing more,
physicians or dentists?
Both adorable photos of your kitties ~ sorry about your claw marks ~ hope all is well with you and all

Thank you for the kind words and sentiment. ~grin~ And thank heaven for the ointment.
DeleteGlad they're both in good health. And just think, it's a year before you have to do this again :)
ReplyDeleteOur thoughts exactly! ~grin~ Be well, my dear.
DeleteHAHA....the dentist. I have great healthy teeth but there is this thing about someone having their fingers in my mouth and scraping around! Then again, the GYN is another one.....but like the dentist they both say, "open wide"....oops, bad joke! lol....glad the fur babes are healthy.
ReplyDeleteAh! You are a character. I didn't even go that route in my mind, surprisingly enough. Thank you for the kind words.

ReplyDeleteOh they are so beautiful, I must say and Jazzy looks so much like Harvest Drive wild kitten Twilight. She's finally getting a bit calmer and will be fixed tomorrow. I love your kitties!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I agree about Twilight. ~grin~ Oh, speak of the devil, Jezebel just jumped on the foot stool of my recliner as I type. Ha! Thank you for all your sacrifices in service to needy animals.
DeleteI only stress when I know something is wrong with one of the furkids. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. And you're a kindhearted person, for sure. ~hugs~ My partner was nervous during their exams, palms sweating and everything!
DeleteHey Darla, still at brothers, bored and ready to head to the house tomorrow....yay. Not been a good day due to rain and cold, spent the better part of the day down. But, I decided to blog for a second time today in reply to your question about how I ended up across country....ENJOY..
ReplyDeleteI did! ~hugs~ Thank you for that. It's an honor that my little comment prompted such a lovely post.
DeleteI am glad the vet visit went well- aside from the claw marks on your back.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Oh, and I found more of them. Heh... Thank heaven for antibiotic ointment!
DeleteI hat the dentist. Just the thought of it makes be shiver in terror. Glad the kitties are in such good health.
ReplyDeleteSorry you have that fear. It must be tough. ~hugs~ Thank you for the kind word!
DeleteI so hate the dentist, and I fear our Princess Cookie Cat will in the coming week as she has to have at least one tooth out. Glad your two old ladies are doing well.
