I believe I have the most minor, pleasant case of obsessive compulsive disorder possible (though friends tired of hearing about the same music groups during each phase may disagree; Palaye Royale, anyone?).
I'm polishing my short story series for like the
thirteenth time and having as much if not more fun as I did writing them. Or
maybe I'm just mildly deranged.

I like editing, too. Much easier than when you're staring at a blank page.
ReplyDeleteCool! I'm glad I'm not alone.
DeleteAssuming that you met your amount a words in Nov??? OCD, I was so bad a few yrs ago, not on music but in other areas of my life. One day it hit me that I was not so much like that anymore....the only change I had made was the fibro meds, Cymbalta. I read up on it and realized that it treats OCD as well....and it does. HAHA.
ReplyDeleteI did meet my goal. It was nice today to polish stories without worrying about that word count. ~grin~ That's interesting about Cymbalta. I wish the fibro meds worked perfectly. ~hugs~
DeleteThis can be one of the most wondrous things about NaNoWriMo...falling in love with your characters as you get to know them. (heart) I'm glad you're experiencing it. This means you're getting something great out of our crazy month of writing, which could spread out to the rest of the year. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Now it would be wonderful if I'd get past polishing and garner the bravery to share with the world.
DeleteI miss the days when my characters felt like friends to me. Now, they just leer, and taught me, at a distance. For the record, I like your away much better.
ReplyDeleteHappy TGIF, Darla
I am so sad for you! ~hugs~ I your hope storytelling improves.
DeleteNothing wrong with a little OCD, especially if it helps your writing )
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I'm having so much fun revisiting my characters early in their relationships.
