In the Pink

After not getting a professional cut and color upon my hair since 2020 began, I find myself having fun with pinking sheers. Today I couldn’t stop toying with overlong locks and decided to have another go.

Have you heard the term ‘in the pink’? And are you familiar with pinking sheers?

  1. I love my pinking shears for cutting fabric. Don't think I would use them on hair though. :) I haven't heard in the pink though. XO

  2. Oh yea, we used to have pinking shears years ago, they were used on fabrics. Cool cutting concept...if I had hair!

  3. Yes, I know of pinking sheers. You've had no salons open? Even amongst our lockdowns here in California, we've had open salons. I mean, not initially, but for more than a year now.

    1. I could go to a salon but just don't feel like bothering since we are happy to hole up in our house anyway. Besides, I can spend all the money saved on something I really want. Heh...

  4. Yes to both, but I wouldn't have thought pinking sheers would be appropriate for hair cutting. I guess the effect could be interesting.

  6. Did you really do that with picking sheers? I did not let COVID stop me from having my hair cut course I am not that normal six week type of person. I just go when I feel the need!!! I did used to cut own hair. I would get the professional cut then for about six months I would just follow what was done. Used to color my own hair and when I wore perms, I did that too. lol...

  7. My mother made many dresses for me when I was little. I know that pinking sheers are, but had no idea you could use them on your hair. Beautiful.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Darla. Big hug. ♥

  8. Dad says he can remember (ha ha, no really) when he was a lad seeing his mom's pinking shears and wondering why they were called that 'cause they weren't pink. His mom was a talented seamstress and there were always tools of her trade all over the house. Say, dad's been cutting his own hair for several years now. He was never happy with how it came out at the "salons", so, yeah.
