Aliens Among Us

Here is another bit of graffiti I noticed Thursday walking along the river. I'm guessing the artist was 'Alien', who didn't feel it necessary to sign this one. Heh...

I come in peace...
Do you consider graffiti on public spaces art or vandalism? Does the attitude of an image alter your opinion?

  1. I enjoy space alien images, especially when done tongue-in-cheek.

  2. Considering most graffiti in our area is actual tagging--someone writing their name, usually illegibly--I'm not a fan.

  4. That is cute. I don't mind it if it is artistic and not vulgar.

  5. You know I love ART. However, painting graffiti on public areas, buildings or homes leads to a lot of thoughts. I am okay with it being on bridges or things like that, esp when done with taste. Colors really add to it and helps it to pop. However of buildings and homes, not so much. I would like to hear that graffiti artist are hired to paint images on buildings that are approved for that.

  6. Depends on what is drawn or scribbled and where. Mostly they are inappropriate ones at inappropriate places. If it's at a place dedicated for it, then it's fine. If it's random scribblings then I don't like it.
