Question & Answer Time

Inspired by other bloggers, I’d like to address some comments and questions. Thanks for the idea, folks.

Pam has asked the age of kittens Terra and Polly. The pair is just about five months old and are to receive a final CVR booster shot this very afternoon.

Tony mentioned that he didn’t know young cats lose their baby teeth. Well, I didn’t either. ~grin~ In fact, when Luna adopted me in 1999 I didn’t realize they shed their claws (!), let alone this tooth replacement.

Liz made the wise suggestion of purchasing a kitty teething toy. Funny enough, I purchased just such a product long ago and forgot. Found in a bagful of ‘like new’ toys, this cute wiggly worm hasn’t inspired chewing.

As packaged years ago...

Neither Luna nor Tilly, our feline angels, showed interest back in the day and the same can be said for geriatric Jezebel. Oh, well.

Did you know that some animal adoption agencies send several follow-up questionnaires? Can you believe some apartment dwellers lie about having told their landlord and, upon discovery, return the adoptee(s) rather than pay extra on rent?

  1. How can your return your baby? Seriously, I'd pay extra and keep my baby. Just saying.

Have a fabulous day and week, Darla. Big hug. ♥

  2. Hey, this answer to comment thing is a cool idea! lol...Okay so the babes are a copy months older then Misty. Have they been fixed. I have to have Misty done. Lily was done by the place I got her from shortly after I got her but being Misty was abandoned and not raised in a foster home, she has not been done. I have a couple months before they apparently go in heat. I need to get that set up. I did not know they shed teeth (although it makes sense...duh) or claws! I am not totally sure how I missed all that with Lily. She was only 12 weeks old when I got her so I am sure she went through that. The only thing I was required to do for Lily was have her fixed, that was added in the cost of when I got her, I just had to be sure it was done. I never had to answer questions on her however, each year on her bday I FB the rescue I got her from and send them pics. I also tell them about how she is doing. They loved seeing and reading about her and Dakota. This yr I will fill them in on her and Misty. When I do this I refer to her as Liesl Von Trapp. When they trapped Lily's mom, she went into labor that night and had two boys, and three girls (I think). There maybe more but that is what they were calling her. So, like I said, when I contact them I tell them it is Liesl from the Von Trapp kids, renamed Tigerlily (AKA Lily Bit). They always reply back about being so happy she is in a good home and well loved. They are sorry when I told them about her bestie Dakota. I was not aware that they made teething toys for kittens but I will look into that, I just bought Misty, baby foolers! lol

    1. These babies were fixed early. Their stitches were like teeny tiny belly buttons. And I didn't know it could be done so early. I miss seeing Dakota. ~hugs~ What are baby foolers? I'm at a loss. Be well!

  3. I know there are idiots out there who return their furry family members, disgusting they are.

  4. Some people should not have pets. Although some follow-ups can be painful. My roommate was getting postcards from the vet about a check up for her dog that sadly had gotten hit by a car, so was no longer.

    1. I agree about some people and pets. And I received follow-up reminders for a young cat we returned to his owners. ~sigh~ It made me sad. But your roommate's story is far sadder.
