Today I received my new
eyeglass lenses. Finally! I’m happy. The bifocals seem like they’ll work out fine
as I adjust.
Wish I'd Gotten No-Line Bifocals for My Granny Glasses Oh, Well; Money Doesn't Grow on Trees |
The hornet’s nest, meanwhile,
shows some activity. Another application of pyrethrin this morning
sent us inside the house with plans to return at dusk. Fingers crossed, I hope to remove the
nest in another day or so.
As for our brat, Tilly continues crying at her
‘daddy’ until he shuts her out of the office and then, ultimately, gets on the
couch. Yesterday afternoon through evening she spent a total of almost six (peaceful)
hours on his lap with scant short breaks for this or that. I couldn’t handle
that.
Can you sit still for long
periods of time or do you need to move around?
I sure am glad you finally got your glasses...seeing is believing!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha.... I like your sense of humor. Be well!
DeleteLove the frames of your glasses. I can never find any frames like that.
ReplyDeleteI can't sit for too long. I have to get up every hour or so.
Thank you! I bought them off of eBay years ago. They came in the mail with trifocals. ~grin~ You're healthier for moving around, they say, and it makes sense. Be well!
DeleteI can't see without my glasses. It's the last thing I take off before bedtime and the first thing I put on when I wake up.
ReplyDeleteI can sit if I've reading a good book or blogging, but that's about it.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. ♥
I may wander around without glasses, but there's no way I could ever drive. Hope your day is fantastic!
DeleteI LOVE your glasses. No one should sit still for more than an hour, one should walk around the room at least hourly to avoid blood clots. My hubby has had 2 dvt's so I warn everyone of this ( I will get off my soapbox now).
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind word and advice. Be well!
DeleteI absolutely cannot sit still for long periods of time. A movie is my limit.
ReplyDeleteNice glasses!
I should move around more. ~shakes head~ When I get deep into story writing I can sit for hours. Thanks for the kind word!
DeleteFunky glasses - love them! After reading about how bad sitting all day is for your health, I have a Google extension that reminds me to get up and walk about every half hour so I'm now doing my housework in short bursts!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's a good way to keep moving and get the house cleaner. Thanks for sharing.
DeleteThose are such cute glasses!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The only problem is that I have to buy big old people goggle-like sunglasses to fit over them. I'm hoping the UV transition tint will make those less necessary. Happy Sailing!
DeleteDarla,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for the late visit. It's been such a crazy, hectic week and I still do not feel like I have a grip on things. *sigh* DH had his eye exam finally on Monday. You might remember that he had to have his retina reattached in the spring 2017 and this spring he needed cataract surgery on the same eye. Anywho, we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel to this whole ordeal. It's been a crazy ride. Now to get his new prescription eye wear in for him to see better than ever! He's pushing off getting progressive correction. For now, he's still able to make out tiny print. I had to move into progressive glasses 2010. I didn't want to but it got to were I couldn't read product labels. I'm glad you're able to see better with your new glasses. I had to laugh about your unshaven legs. :D I always make a habit of shaving mine every night so if I need to miss a day it's no big deal. Plus, over shaving like I do actually causes the hair to grow less often. Maybe, one day I won't have to shave them at all!
Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me. Have pAwesomely boogietastic week!
Wow! I wish you and DH all the best. I'm glad to have given you a laugh. Be well!
ReplyDeleteI don't sit still much. Until bed time, then I'm dead to the world.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to know you sleep well. You earn it! ~hugs~ Hope you have a good weekend, my dear.
