Harvest Time! (and Link to a Rainbow Snippet)

Today we harvested a bunch of chard. For the first time, there are leftovers of the stuff, wilted in butter and white wine with onion and garlic, then dressed with parmesan cheese and fresh lemon juice. We reserved the wine and lemon for next time, too. Yum!

Healthy and Delicious
Meanwhile, if you’re interested, I have posted a Rainbow Snippet over at my Sands Castles blog. This one displays my attempt at silly and salacious humor and its strong inference to sexuality is why I posted on my adults only site. A number of authors share tidbits from their LGBTQIA+ related writings. You can find the Facebook page here if interested.

Do you like bad puns?

  2. Bad puns, I think that depends on my mood. Sometimes I just shake my head and smile, other times they get a laugh from me. Course...I think when I throw one out there it is just too FUNNY! haha

    1. Oh, mood is important. If my husband laughs too much before sharing it sometimes dampens my enjoyment, especially if the setup is too long. ~grin~ He's always sharing silly stuff off the Internet. Be well!

  3. No, I'm not big on puns. And happy Pride Month. Is the writing community doing something special?

    1. Oh, that's too bad. ~grin~ Thanks for the kind word. I'm not aware of anything special among the writers I know. It's possible I missed the information as I'm so introverted and don't spend a lot of time on social media (believe it or not). Heh... Be well!

  4. Dad says he's never had chard, but it sounds delicious. We're also impressed with the colorful leaf stems. Is it always like that? Have an awesome week, y'all.

    1. I think the variety we bought has more tendency to be so colorful than some others. It's called rainbow chard, in fact. ~grin~ Hope you're having a lovely Saturday!

    1. Wish I could have you over for some! ~hugs~ It is good. Today we're planning to try a different recipe, however. And on that note, I need to get off social media and go do food prep. We harvested a bunch this morning. Be well!
