Best of all, many points of interest provide a website. Museums, parks, bars, restaurants, etc bring adventure and even some exoticism to my quaint suburban life.
This has even led me to try new things beyond local businesses. My favorite so far came from Japan, a product called candied yuzu peel.
A longtime fan of balanced sweet and sour tastes, I read of yuzu off a New Orleans restaurant menu. The ingredient was used either as a cocktail component or salad topping. Of course I’ve forgotten. ~rolls eyes~ I purchased a packet off of Amazon.com and hope to investigate its other forms, as well.

ReplyDeleteWhen we first moved to our house, I spent days driving around and discovering things...this was WAY BEFORE cell phones and map apps.
But the adventure was real, and I still love to venture out to new territory.
Am trying very, very, VERY hard to avoid candy and sweets, so I'll be prim and say apples are my favorite sweet. Earl Grey Tea is my favorite beverage, and there is a nearby coffee shop that serves it up HOT; nothing bums me out more than lukewarm tea. ;-)
When I first moved in with my now husband (in 1990!) he both worked and went to college full time. When we *did* get out of the apartment together he usually had a textbook in hand. lol Often I drove around after my work day. :D
