Tenacious Terra Episode 1

Terra Cotta Dactyl has tried my patience more than once. This feline athlete goes to great lengths for attention. Try watching television and you might find yourself looking at something like this in her wake…

A ghost reaching out from beyond?
Or something more sinister?

Exasperated one day, I threw a lint ball at her. Silly Terra carried the thing around like a trophy. Finding it across the house next to their water bowl, I stooped to take a photo.

The ball consisted mainly of cat fur
collected off my comforter.
Fitting, no?
~sigh~

Another toy rescued from drowning -
classic brat cat behavior.

Having knocked this little cabinet over
she promptly lay atop it before
boredom sent her seeking
trouble elsewhere...

Can you believe nobody has gotten hurt yet? Anyone want to take bets on how long before her ornery self breaks my fish tank lid and lands in the water?

  1. No guessing but I will say that with all you just stated, it is surprising she has not gone for that swim yet! Misty LOVES pom poms and I find them in the water bowls often. But the cutest thing is she found a knit glove, and now I find it all over the house. I have only seen her carrying it once but it seems to be a comfort thing to her. Also, I have to keep a soft velvet feeling throw on my bed for her to curl up on while she sucks and kneads it before falling off to sleep. I have to say though, she was not the kitten challenge that Lily was. Have fun and keep reporting to us what Terra is into next.

  3. I sure hope she doesn't land in the water if there is anything electric on the tank. She is a little terror. :) XO

  5. I have had drowned little family members of hers. Twice it was her treasured sushi. Now YOUR little rascal should calm down a bit. And I smiled but in horror I am sure, at the idea of the fish tank. I have learned never to assume anything about a cat's prowess.

    1. I'm glad no live mice have been discovered. ~nods~ And when she is sleeping the world goes quiet.

  7. Oh boy, the fish tank, I won't take a bet on that one! I find so many cat toys in the water dish. Now and then I have a cat who hordes toys away somewhere. Old Vision used to hide them behind the frig, so she had her own stash readily available.

  8. She has high spirits, and needs to jump and play and be wild!
When Celestial Angel was tiny, I would throw a foil ball down the stairs, and she would retrieve it and drop it for me to throw again!
Da Boyz have more energy than that, but they chase each other which often includes furniture going over and mad scampers through the house, sounding like a herd of elephants!

  9. Yikes! Terra the Terror... Dad says he read an article recently about a lady who collected her cat's fur and made a little cowboy hat out of it. The things you humans do...

  10. I have seen cats have an affinity to boxes and generally covered surfaces.
