Buzzed

My husband discovered a new Mexican restaurant. Once there, I talked him into outdoor dining.

What a mistake.

You see, for the first time in decades I ordered a sugary cocktail. Yes, my peach daquiri tasted good and fruity. Unfortunately, local bees wanted a taste. Too bad I didn't think to take a photo of my glass covered with napkins, a hole punched through for my straw. And I'm not a fan of whipped toppings, so I dumped a few spoonfuls on the ground a few feet away, which also helped to a degree.

Are you a fan of sweet cocktails and/or nonalcoholic drinks? Do you like whipped cream?

  1. The darn yellow jackets swarm any outdoor eating this time of year here. I can't recall the last time I had hard liquor. I hope you got to enjoy some of it. Did it taste ok?

    1. At least these guys weren't outright aggressive, just craving sweetness. :) And it tasted nice and peachy.

  3. Whipped cream is yum! We went out to eat Saturday and also ate outside. It was okay except for the flies. I asked the waitress to bring us a blog of crap for the little critter.

  4. I'm not into sweet drinks. Whip cream is okay, but I'd rather have vanilla ice cream and not in my drinks either. I can't remember the last time we had whip cream here. I can remember vanilla ice cream though.

Have a fabulous day and week. Big hug. ♥

  5. I avoid eating outside, actually, I avoid going out as much as I can. :) I only drink water or coffee, but I LOVE whipped cream. XO

  6. I like fruity drinks, heck I put orange and blueberries in my water! HOWEVER, even though sugar is my fave ingredient to ANYTHING, I don't like a real sugary drink and I do not care for whipped cream on anything really. Have you ever scooped some off something and put it in a dish, go back a few days later? It don't melt. Glad to see that you did not shallow any of the said bees.

    1. Interesting. Fruit in drinks and foods is wonderful. Many of my favorite recipes include citrus. Yum. And thanks for the kind word. I'm glad, too.

  7. Not fun when the bugs find you. Nope, I don't like whipped cream. And I never got a taste for cocktails (I'm a complete teetotaler).

    1. Poor Cleo. But they probably know you would be overwhelming sweet, then.

  10. Though bees troubled you, I am glad you enjoyed the cocktail. Sugary cocktails are okay for me. So too whipped cream.
