Like bubbles in a cauldron... |
While we enjoy those flocks all throughout their stay, our many neighbors' maple tree leaves are season specific. Lucky us, only a few strays land in our yard each autumn.
Atop my rustic birdhouse... |
Daylight hours are growing shorter and our plants are making the most of them. The deep purple aster came from one of two bought during my garden center visit.
I harvested more tomatoes, peppers, some 'pink fairy' baby's breath, as well as cosmos along with the aster. |
The altered shutter speed proved more interesting than expected. This cosmos flower almost looks angelic.
Ephemeral Beauty |
Meanwhile, silly Jezebel left her tongue hanging out long enough for me to snap photos. And of course, I botched every one.
Unfocused, but at least recognizable. |
Do you think our kitty was in the midst of grooming? Or was she perhaps deep in thought?

Cats just don't seem to care much if their wee tongue is sticking out!
ReplyDeleteI wish she did it more often. :) It's such a cute look.
DeleteI love the shot of the cherry tomatoes. That's was very artful.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Darla. Big hug. ♥
Thank you! ~hugs~ I don't think of myself as a particularly good photographer. They just presented themselves for the photo.
DeleteLooks like fall is upon you. And our days are definitely getting shorter (even if our temps are back into the upper 80s today).
ReplyDeleteUgh... That's way too hot for me. ;)
DeleteJezebel is a cutie. I like that dark purple aster too.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Thanks.
DeleteHi Darla, those tomatoes look so nice!
ReplyDeleteI have seen our cat keeping her tongue out. Does it mean anything? I have no clue!
Take care.
Oh, you, too! I was so sorry about your family's loss and illnesses.
Deletedefinitely sticking her tongue out at you to express emotion, lol. That is an awesome altered reality Cosmos! Bright fire fall leaf! Beautiful! When I see the vultures, I wag my finger at them and say "Not yet, not yet"
ReplyDeleteI adore your sense of humor. :) And thanks for all the kind words.
ReplyDeleteEither way your sweet babe don't look like she was much enjoying you snapping pics either way...haha. Love all those tomato's and flowers. Great pic on that. As for my Zinnias, the last of them were clipped and are in a vase on the coffee table, then the plants were pulled up. They were looking so bad that they had to go and the four o'clocks came up also. One more yard cut and bringing some plants in and I will have all that done. Hey....as for looking up Sal, totally forgot about that other blog post. Oh my gosh...life changes so fast.
ReplyDelete~hugs~
DeleteThat maple leaf atop your rustic bird house is picture perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) I... ahem... might have placed it there.
Deletehaha.....came back to see and there again, my comment is not here. Are you messing with me lady??
ReplyDeleteYou should know better, but thanks for the smile. ;) I hope to get back into the swing of things once life settles down here.
DeleteSo sorry to hear things are going nuts...unless it is a good nuts! As for your comment on my blog about not being more adventurous then hubs...haha, Amber did not want to go through the fence with me, but then she did just to see things but she was scared at first. Her hubs wanted to get her a sky diving adventure for Christmas last yr but he would not go cause he is scary cat too....he asked me would I go with her and I was all about it, however I told him he better talk with her first and that was a NO GO! Sometimes I wonder if she is mine...haha
DeleteI can just see you sky diving. :) And thanks for the kind word.
