Picture Perfect – & – Hoping I Can Help with Blogger

With summer here coming to a close, I am thankful for our grape-style Roma tomato plant my husband picked on a whim and the Gong Bao pepper specimen I found. They have out-produced all the rest. Yesterday, though, I harvested two ripe Marglobe tomatoes that weren’t either munched on or rotting. One I ate right away, the larger one I’ll share with my husband.

Almost too Pretty to Eat

As for wanting to help, I am not at all technically minded, but have managed to work with the new format of Blogger. Cleo said her human dad has been frustrated. I cant blame him, and who doesn’t want to read more from lovely Cleo the cat? Feel free to skip all this, of course, and forgive me if this seems pretentious. Nonetheless, here goes…

To start, I set up templates for both text and photos/video, using a publish date several years out so they stay in ‘draft’ mode. Switching between HTML and ‘compose’ formats, I copy and paste into a new document. Again, risking ostensible conceit, allow me to illustrate with images:

Now, the Image Encoded

I've Inserted the Image Code Between Text Lines

The Preview, Incomplete, of Course

Did I just make it more complicated? ~shakes head~ And did you know the thousands of current coding languages are so unlike person-to-person communication that learning them suits those of a science minded disposition? Can you guess how many my husband knew during his technical career?

  1. Or, Cleo's dad can just click on 'revert to legacy blogger' when adding a post. ;-)

To be honest, though, I figure that will only be available for so long a time.

  2. I'm no WordPress so the new blogger format isn't all that bad. well bad for blogger, but still. Many are having major issues with it. New things always come with issues that work themselves out at some point.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Darla. Big hug. ♥

  4. Yes, the new Blogger is a bit annoying, but it seems like they're working out the bugs. I was really pissed at the labels function, but that's been fixed in the last week or two.

  5. HUH? Yep....you did for me. You know I used to be able to follow stuff like that, nothing made me discombobulated like they do now, these days. Things I used to jump in and do, they just don't register these days. Sometimes I read things and by the time I turn the page, its gone. SUCKS.

  6. I guess I got forced into new blogger. Doesn't seem that much different to me. A few changes but I can barely notice the changes. Am I a zombie to not see a huge difference? Brain dead now or close to it?

  7. Why is it that my messages don't show up here? I am pretty sure I commented on this...I know I did. Crazy. Yes you made me all crazy...I used to be more tech savvy then I am now. Things go in and right out these days...oh wait, not even sure they go in. I can't function and retain things like I used to.

  8. Okay, so dad and I just now got around to reading this post (lots going on with work and stuff right now) and he's sitting here with his head spinning 'round and 'round. He's kind of a simpleton, so I don't expect him to grasp much. He's been casually sipping his 2nd cup of coffee, but after reading this post I think he's going for one of the Oktoberfests mom stuck in the fridge yesterday. And it's not even breakfast time...
