I decided to share the following because it made me think of our blogging friend Pam. She sees hearts everywhere and catalogs many delightful finds.

Do you believe 1980’s parking lot Fotomat kiosks offered full photo developing services with zero amenities for its sole employee? Can you imagine any Westerner enduring such conditions today?

That does sound like a place with worse than poor working conditions.
ReplyDeleteAs a kid I wanted to be on the inside of those booths. I probably would have hated having a job there when I was older, but I did spend some time wondering about what it was like.
ReplyDeleteSame here. lol
DeleteI love the heart, Darla.
ReplyDeleteNever really thought about how the Photo kiosks worked. I guess you just put a sign in the window if you had to go somewhere to the bathroom. Since very little developing is done these days, I guess that particular problem is no long relevant.
ReplyDeleteOH, my. Admiral Hestorb forgot to log out. But here she and I both are! I LOVED those photomats! Never failed to scrounge up some quarters to use one. Still have a copy of one picture for one.
ReplyDeleteOH! I look for hearts everywhere too, and as the leaves are beginning to fall, those heart-shaped ones always grab my eye.
ReplyDeleteA nice heart. I remember those kiosks back in the day. What a fun memory. No I can't imagine needing one now.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, my friend. Hugs. ♥
We have some strange older photos too.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a broken out tooth maybe.
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteThat is a cool shot. I remember those, we had one in town. XO
ReplyDeleteSweet find. Looked like sugar to me.
ReplyDeleteVery cool picture, for sure. Dad says he remembers one of those kiosks in the parking lot of a Caldor and Food Mart (both now extinct) up in Northampton, MA many, many moons ago. He used to get those little film cartridges developed there.
