Gastronomic Gains, Savory Sweet Scones - & - What's This?

I have been enjoying our various new
kitchen gadgets, especially this
multi-use air fryer...

Surprise!
I'd not seen
a double yolk since childhood.

My pastry fresh out of the machine,
loaded with blueberries & grated ginger.

  1. I age half the pastry. Yummy. It tastes better than it looks and it looks fabulous.

Have a fabulous weekend, Darla. Big hug. ♥

  3. I had an air fryer that was given to me but it was SO BIG. I had no room to store it and it was just too big for one person. However, I used it once and it was nice. I am going to get a smaller one. Bread, I like baking in the oven. Purchased a bread maker from a friend and never used it. I just like doing it the old fashion way. Oh wait, if I did it that way I would bake it in a rock oven over fire...haha. James and Julie have gotten chickens and I buy fresh eggs from them for my brother. James has had several twin yolks..I buy from them for my brother. He loves them, I will not touch them.

  4. Everyone I know seems to be getting an air fryer. I will have to check how they function since I am totally unfamiliar with them, but I am assuming they are a healthy alternative to conventional frying.

    1. I bought that bowl set because the design reminded me of our darling angel Luna. ~nods~ We still miss her.

  9. Oh I never dreamed that could be done with a fryer. I never paid attention to them or their ads. Now I see I was missing something that I could use.

  11. I've never used an air fryer, but I don't think I'd want to purchase one. To each their own, right? Those scones do look mouthwatering, I have to say.
