Can you see the blue target up the hill? It's an athletic sport, to be sure. |
Sycamore Trails also features an ugly but prolific duck pond with beautiful birds. Have you ever played disc (or Frisbee) golf? Did you know there is a professional players' association? - |
What a beautiful place to explore.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
~hugs~
DeleteThat really is a nice place, I'll bet it's really something in blooming season!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteLast year, our Engineering VP held a picnic for his teams, and I went along as an assistant.
ReplyDeleteLots of folks played disc golf; some had their own set of discs!
It was lots of fun to watch, and I think I ate a whole bag of potato chips by myself...
And of course your final comment made me giggle. :)
DeleteWe have a disc golf course just up the street from us. I've never tried it. Looks like it might be fun.
ReplyDeleteI've played but when very young and I didn't do well. We didn't have proper equipment, though. Maybe I'd do better with new technology.
DeleteNope never played disc golf but I know all about it cause my son plays it and loves it. I really hope you are not out there walking alone when you go. Hoping hubs goes with you. We have greenway space (walking areas) all over the place here to walk but the one closer to me runs along side the river and there has been muggings and stuff there....Be careful. FYI, no it was not a horse fly, it was the horse. Dude who had horses out there had one that was unpredictable. I was petting and feeding her, I felt something on my leg, looked down and as I came back up, she bit me.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I'm shocked it was an actual horse. Thanks for the kind warning.
DeleteOne of my friends loves disc golf. I had planned to try it this fall, but never got to it- and I am a sloth so I probably don't have the stamina.
ReplyDeleteAwww... I know how you feel. Be well, my dear.
DeleteI've never heard of Disc Golf before but it looks like it'd be fun. It would be tricky trying to avoid your frisbee bouncing off all the trees. It sounds simple but I guess it would take a lot practice to become an accurate frisbee thrower
ReplyDeleteI agree that it can be tricky. The guys out there the other day had various discs for their sport just like classic Scottish courses require. :) I found that fascinating. Be well!
DeleteBeautiful trails! Alas ours are all snowy and icy. No trail walking for me until spring (I fall a lot)
ReplyDeleteCiao
Barb
Be safe! And thanks for the kind words.
