D is for Disturbed

As promised, I bring you Disturbed. Front man David Dramon turned forty-two years of age as of March 14 this year. I note this because I hope he rocks on into his eighties or later because the band’s hiatus broke my heart just a little bit. Oh, what a happy day when they came out with “Immortalized” in 2015.

Demon Dolls is my feaux rock band for the day. Because my imagined name evokes the Gorillaz debut album “Demon Days” I have decided they share the group’s eclectic sound featuring a wide range of guest vocalists.

  2. I had to go to youtube to watch Disturbed videos. Not my genre I'd say, but something I'd listen to when in certain moods. Demon Dolls makes me think of a few horror movies I've seen that feature dolls that aren't just dolls.

    1. Thanks for checking them out, Strayer, and suggesting they are worth a listen. I adore horror movies and can think of more than a few movies and television shows with that theme. ~grin~ Even Twilight Zone had an evil ventriloquist dummy. Be well!

  3. You are really educating me with your A to Z - bringing bands to my attention I had never heard of before. You're a bit of a rocker on the quiet (or maybe not that quiet!). Thank goodness for YouTube so I can find out what you're writing about.

    1. Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to stop by with a kind word and check out the music. A more industrious person would include YouTube links but I would probably get caught up in watching and get no actual blogging done. ~grin~ Be well!

  4. I love them!!! Thanks for the rec, Darla, I'm looking forward to discovering more new bands through your blog. And your name for the rock band is pretty neat. Ever thought about writing a music-themes contemporary romance? :)

    1. Thank you, Grace! You're very kind. And my favorite twenty-plus short story series features a rock band. ~grin~ I just never seem to get around to doing anything with it in a professional manner. I hope you are well. You rock, seriously!

    1. Oh, I like the way you think. While I usually prefer male vocalists, this has definite possibilities. Thank you for the kind word!

  6. I loved Disturbed. I especially loved that the frontman recently called out a concert goer for spending the entire time on her cellphone. (and was just a tad disappointed when he later apologized). I also loved that he recently had a 12yr old share the stage with him. I find the music enjoyable, and it fits perfectly for certain moods.

I really like the name Demon Dolls. I'd listen to them :)

    1. How awesome! Did you know David Draiman was trained as a Hazzan, or Cantor? It makes so much sense the way he can sing. Thank you for visiting and leaving a kind word!

  7. Disturbed is a band that I would go see if they ever come to Germany.

    1. Fabulous! They just might head your way, but I'm not sure. Germany is a lovely place to visit from my adolescent memories, at any rate. Be well!
