Today we shopped our local bulk, member's only big box store. In the face of this viral epidemic we deemed it time to bring home lots of essentials like bottled water and paper products.
Our biggest concern over infection is facing panicked crowds should COVID-19 creep into our (currently) peaceful town. Riots are not something we want to encounter.
Was hauling five flats of (40 count) bottled water adequate exercise? ~grin~ If you aren't allergic, peanut butter, full of protein and dietary fiber, is a near perfect food. Did you know that?

Okay, but you kind of have to like peanut butter for it to be a good thing. I'm just not a fan.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! lol Be well, my dear.
DeleteI love peanut butter and they sell it powdered too now at Walmart for hiking or emergency storage.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. :) I think it does just fine in a jar, though, so don't get ripped off. (Not like you do, wise friend).
DeletePop Tarts - foil wrapped - can be eaten straight from the box - they keep forever.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget supplies for any pets !
Good points. :) Thanks!
DeleteI am not a great fan of peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteRegarding COVID-19, there is no need to panic. What scientists say is that 80 to 85 % cases around the world are mild. It's preventable with basic hygiene and by staying away from people who have cold or cough. Good idea to stock up, anyway.
Take care!
Thanks. You,too!
DeleteI've been telling the old woman to stock up on prawns. There are only five big packets in the freezer. IT'S NOT ENOUGH, OLD WOMAN.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Heh...
DeleteAren't folks overreacting?
ReplyDeleteTypical isn't it?
DeleteMy hubby is afraid of a quarantine so we stocked up on canned goods -and peanut butter :)And cat food and litter.
ReplyDeleteVery wise. We need more kitty supplies for Jezebel.
DeleteYes I did know about peanut butter and I am glad I am not allergic cause I love that stuff. Not something I eat daily...but still great to keep on hand. I even love at the rip old age of 60 a good PBJ sandwich! Yep, I am not panicking about the virus although our first case was reported here in TN yesterday. I am keeping my hands cleaned, not going to be shaking hands with anyone and trying to keep my hands away from my face. Although...I should panic cause with my issues something like that would knock me on my rear. I have a good friend that lives in Ohio...for a bit yet cause she is venturing down with hubby to build their retirement home in TN!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you stay clear of this virus. ~hugs~ Be well, my dear. And keep enjoying those PBJ sandwiches. Heh...
DeleteWe're not going quite this far just yet, but keeping a watchful eye on the news and CDC, especially since we obviously cannot count on our own administration to keep us honestly informed. Oh, and dad says he hasn't tasted store-bought peanut butter for many years since mom makes her own. About as pure as you can get- just ground roasted & unsalted peanuts.
ReplyDeleteWhat we buy at the grocery store is a natural variety, too, but with some salt. :)
