My perennial garden was
designed primarily for bees and butterflies. One day I was fortunate to
photograph this Eastern Comma enjoying a purple coneflower.
Breakfast on the Fly |
A common species, this one
struck me as particularly exceptional. My attempt to film video fell short of
capturing the beauty, however.
While I just get lucky sometimes (and compositions are far from ideal), I know quite a few
bloggers are prolific and gifted photographers.

If you enjoy photography,
what is your favorite subject?
Catching a butterfly just right is hard. Congrats on getting the shot. I'm only an amateur when it comes to photography.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I like the photos you take of your wonderful craft work.
DeleteThose are gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat was me, the cat lady, struggling with a new old computer, by the way, the above comment.
ReplyDeleteOh, bless you, my dear. Wish I could fly out my tech savvy partner and help you.
DeleteGreat shots Your coneflowers are way ahead of us.
ReplyDeleteWe had some really early hot days. Unfortunately, that led to a short life span for our prickly pear cactus flowers. ~sigh~ Happy Gardening!
DeleteHey Darla~ I was not aware there was a such thing as litter box liners but I will look into that! Question, how often should I clean the whole thing? Thanks....Now as for your shots.....Loving the butterfly. As a photographer since 2008, I have to say that what I dislike shooting the most is weddings, babies would be next. Babies cause it is difficult to get them to do much and I don't have the props needed. Wedding~ STRESS! What I do enjoy shooting in nature. Butterflies and bees, flowers, but I also like shooting the usual item, something that most folks over look, like a rusty hinge. Family events are another thing I like to shoot. But high school seniors are the most fun. I have really enjoyed those kinds of shoots.
ReplyDeleteI'll pop over to your blog with answers. ~grin~ Thanks for sharing your photography experiences. My high school senior photo shoot was a lot of fun, come to think of it. Be well!
DeleteOh, I love these kind of posts! We plant for the bugs and friends, too. Great captures, my friend. Have a great day! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThanks! ~hugs~ I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
