The Big Day

This morning I took Dandelion to the vet for her dental work. She had seven teeth removed (fewer than expected) and I get to pick her up in a half hour.

Dani will be on two different pain medications and an antibiotic. I hope she forgives me for corralling her again, especially since she has to get a CVR booster in another week and a half.

Do you think so-called dental treats are helpful? Did you know there are even dental care toys now?

These Strawberry Toys are Tempting
They are just too cute.

  1. I know dental health is essential. I always depended on our vet to know what was helpful. Our Angel Little Bit let us brush her teeth every morning. She had pearly whites all of her life. We sure miss her.

    Healing hugs to the kitty.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Darla. Big hug. ♥

  2. Hopefully she'll be in a lot less pain without those troublesome teeth. She may not trust you for a bit, but she'll forget when she's feeling much better.

  3. Thats not so bad, was expecting you to say 20, like Muffy just had out maybe. I hope she soon feels so much better! Is she back home now? I don't know if those dental treats work or not but now and then I get them and distribute them and the cats like them.

    1. I didn't know kitties had so many teeth before now. She apparently lost some in previous years. Enjoying treats is good, my dear. Bless you and yours.

  5. Aww, poor thing.
Cat teeth are designed to seize prey, then tear it up.
In my opinion, dental treats are a waste of time because cats don't chew much.
When Da Boyz had their dentals recently, the vet said that we could have been brushing their teeth every day for years, but genetics makes the reabsorption and tartar building up happen.

  6. She might be a tad upset for you gathering her up and taking her back to the vet but I am sure she will forgive. I am so happy you took her on, to love and care for.

  8. That is a lot of teeth. I knew about the treats, but not the toy- too cute. Please email me your address so the Tooth Fairy can visit her, pilch92@aol.com. XO
