On Tuesday my most recent Amazon purchases turned up on the wrong doorstep. Fortunate for me, I recognized the porch next door and retrieved my packages.
Unfortunately, I gave the delivery service a thumbs down without thinking and before going out looking. I wrongfully thought it could be reneged. I don’t want a hard working person to get into trouble. And their work is genuinely appreciated.
Do you think there’s any hope this Amazon employee won’t be reprimanded?

You gave the right thumbs down. He/she delivered it to the wrong address. I know they work hard, but being careful is a must.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. Hugs. ♥
Thanks for the kind words. Hugs, my dear.
DeleteI had that happen once, I saw my package on the porch of a neighbor. But yeah, it was delivered to the wrong place, so the thumbs down was warranted. I know, hard working delivery people shouldn't get dinged for minor errors.
ReplyDelete~sigh~
DeleteYou did the right thing. I have never ordered online but a few of my neighbours in my apartment building have ordered from Amazon. Here in Montreal, I can speak for my building, when the Amazon driver comes with a package, he doesn't even ring the bell, he just places it on the floor between the entrance door and the inside security door. As a result the package has been stolen.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, my dear. Be well.
DeleteThis has happened where a package from Amazon had been stolen on a few occasions.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your kitten ๐ธ profile picture is adorable.
:D
DeleteThey do have their pay deducted for mistakes. Here some are good and some are not.
ReplyDeleteWe've never had an issue before, so I hope this driver didn't suffer much. Be well, my dear.
DeleteThe person made a mistake, so thumbs down, as long as your home is clearly numbered.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support.
DeleteGlad you got your package. Don't feel too bad, the person did make a mistake. XO
ReplyDeleteHugs, my dear.
DeleteAm thinking that the thumbs up or down is a tally kept by the company to lump into digits presented to management in a graphy once a quarter, and that the delivery individuals never see or know them.
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense. Thanks for sharing that idea.
DeleteWhat was in the package?
ReplyDeleteI guess that deserves an answer alongside your question about my candied rind peels. lol
Deletewell yes please!
