It’s also rather banged up and far less pretty than the blue pumpkins I cultivated from seed last summer. I still like it.
Angel Jezebel’s favorite stuffed mouse proved a cute topper. I think she would approve of my bringing this toy out of retirement.
| Jezzy would pull her toy down from a cat tree late at night. I still miss searching for it the next morning... |
Have you noticed that post holiday clearance sales aren’t as good as they were years ago? What do you think happens with unsold candy?

I like this pumpkin π Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
ReplyDeletePrices are skyrocketing on everything everywhere.
Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada ❤️ π π¨π¦
What wise and kind words. Thank you.
DeleteI also love the cat π in your profile picture.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Thanks.
DeleteI have noticed Halloween candy on sale at Grocery Outlet in April. And Easter candy on sale in October. It's just a matter of finding the spots where they get rid of things that didn't sell. Do you have Grocery Outlet where you're at? I love that place.
ReplyDeleteWe do not have Grocery Outlet but think we have some similar chain stores. :)
DeleteI often wonder what happens to seasonal clothing. Where does all the warm weather clothes that haven't been sold, even though discounted, go when it is winter.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point. I'd like to think they go to homeless shelters and the like for the next season. But that's probably too optimistic.
DeleteAm guessing that seasonal clothing can be sold in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteOoh... Interesting idea.
DeleteThat mouse does look good with the pumpkin. I have noticed the sales are awful. Walmart only had 25% off candy. Not that I needed any. :) XO
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hugs, my dear.
