What better heaven than a cat on the lap & toes in the sand?

Making Me Both Sad and Amused
Unfortunately, I received email notification of a housecat having been lost. The location is miles away, so I’m unlikely to be of assistance in returning him. But I just had to share because of his name, D.B. Pooper.
I bet he’d develop a crush on our sweet kitty
friend Katie Isabella…
Are you familiar with D.B. Cooper’s legendary 1971 hijacking? Isn’t this D.B. handsome?
We lived DB Cooper, but not DB Pooper's saga, here in the NW. The legends and stories live on, regarding his identity and where the rest of the cash might be. Everyone wanted to find that cash. Some of it was found washed up in the Columbia. I hope DB Pooper is found or returns home on his own.
Here eagles take a lot of animals. A story on the news, that I couldn't read, a bald eagle dropped a cat from height which went through a car's windshield. The cat was dead.
The creativity some exhibit when naming... I am in awe.

DeleteThat poor kitty, I hope they find him and all is well. Yes, love that name.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteD. B. Pooper, find your way home!
ReplyDeleteThey found some of the money that was given to DB Cooper, but not much else.
Such a mystery.
I agree on all points. Be well!
DeleteBeautiful cat. He does look like Katie. I am not familiar with the story. I will look it up. I hope he finds his way home. XO
ReplyDelete~hugs~
DeleteIt must be horrible when a cat goes missing and you never find out what happened.
ReplyDeletei don't know the Cooper story.
I now know the story.
DeleteI saw a lot of missing pet posters around town last summer. :( My fear is that roaming dogs and cats become prey to coyotes.
DeleteIsn't it fascinating how cultural events have different significance around the world? Be well!

DeleteI hope they find him, too. And that's horrible about that poor cat. Be well, my dear.
DeleteI love how you baited us asking if we knew about the Pooper but not filling us in. I will have to look that up
