Wait… What?

From the very start of this pandemic my husband urged me to get all the Covid 19 vaccinations alongside him. Despite various reservations and my stubborn nature, I haven’t argued.

So, this past Tuesday we each received another booster shot. We do both suffer other age related health issues (plus he’s eight years older and I’d kind of like to keep him around).

Later he stated that he hoped all these vaccines weren’t harming our bodies. ~blink~ Aside from not choking, I can’t recall my exact reply.

As a side note, don’t our ailing old bodies deserve a gentler label than ‘comorbidity’? After all, have you noticed that toilet paper is now termed ‘bathroom tissue’ and townhouses have become townhomes? Should I now go change the cats’ less offensive termed glitter box?

  1. I have never used that word, comorbidity, but darned if it does not fit me to a Tee... Doubtful I will write a poem using that as a title. I cannot imagine having it stenciled on a tee shirt, although we have established how it might fit. This would be a great word to moan, if one was working as an operative at a paid-to-enter haunted house, during the Halloween season. Seriously, say it really slow and spooky... "Coe --- more --- bid --- tee..." Yipes! There is that "Tee" word again.

  2. I have had 2 boosters and my hubby has had 3. He wants me to get another, but I am starting to get nervous about all these things in my body. Hopefully you won't have any bad effects from them. xO

  3. Well, it the poop had sparkles in it I would go with glitter box, but nope, sticking with litter! You know, I had both the shots, and I have had two boosters. I am not getting anything else till July next yr. That was the last booster and I figure I am good till then. Cause like you, I have to wonder what all is mixing up inside my body. Although, with that said, I need to go get my flue shot!! lol....

  4. It is fine to question science, and it should be very often, but when scientific weight comes down heavily, you just have to believe.

The same has happened here with words. While no one says toilet tissue, that is what it is called in tv ads. We say toilet paper or toilet roll.

Taking three life saving medications, maybe I am comorbid, but I don't feel like I am.

Infected from your country, here people are now saying passed on, or just passed. Thankfully not passed over, well not yet. Please, they have died. Why does dying need to be couched in softer words. And passed is more appropriate for religious Christians where people pass to another world. Australia might be the most irreligious country in the world. It is so inappropriate. People die. They are dead Full stop.

No matter what the cat does that might be rolled in glitter, it is still the same inside.

  5. Well, as far as too many vaccines, there is FISS, feline injection site sarcoma, linked to Felk and Rabies vaccines adjuvanted with aluminum. I do not know if human vaccines are adjuvanted or not, I don't know enough about them. I remember telling an older lady friend of mine to quit taking her indoor only cats in every single year for Felk and Rabies vaccines, but the vet clinic insisted they needed them. One of them then developed an injection site sarcoma and died. I like the glitter litter clean out shed (litter box). Lets glam up pooping to the max, even though it will always stink. Uh oh, stink is kind of nasty word, we need to clean that one up.

    1. I resist some vaccinations for my cats out of trepidation of FISS, but I didn't understand the underlying cause. Thank you for sharing that information. ~hugs~ How about 'stink-a-licious'? lol

  6. I should say something else about cat vaccines. I knew a rescue lady who worked at a clinic too who used to give cats with a chronic illness, like herpes infection, a three way vaccine. She claimed it woke up the immune system and helped remind it to fight the good fight.

  7. All a vaccine is is an attenuated version of the disease so that the immune system can recognize and fight the actual critter if it happens to invade. Now, the Covid vaccine is different in that it teaches the body to recognize a spike protein on the virus, thereby making the Covid a target if it appears.

The great thing about the Covid vaccine is it was developed after decades of research into HIV. HIV mutated so fast that developing a vaccine was useless as by the time a vaccine existed, that version of the virus wasn't prevalent.

Too many vaccines? I don't know. It's a good question. I wonder if someone is doing the research. Honestly, it sounds like fear mongering by people who were anti-vaccine in the first place.

Did you know that all the fear around vaccines is based on a paper about a link between autism and vaccines? And did you know that that paper has been completely debunked? It was based on junk science. Yet so many people now cite that bad paper as a reason to fear vaccines. It's why we're in the mess we're in with polio and measles and such.

  8. To political for me to weigh in. There are pros and cons on both sides of this issues. Folks need to do what their doctor and them decide.

Have a fabulous day. Hugs. ♥

  9. I gave up on the Covid vaccines, I don't trust them, after the original 2 and a booster I'm sticking to washing my hands and trying to be safe. I do like Glitter Box though, so be it!
