I’m still not good at photographing these two and it doesn’t help that my comforter is almost all black. But they stayed in place, which I call a win.

I have a question for others owned by housecats; do you often see kitty standing on three legs while scratching around his/her ear with a back paw? Since these girls are the only ones seen ever doing this in our home, do you think this proclivity could be genetic?

They really are adorable and such sweet bed warmers. I've had cats that scratch the ear like that but not too many of them. Most of them park their butt and then scratch!

DeleteYes, taking pictures of dark objects (or family) is a challenge. The only thing I can do to help it is to lighten it a bit in editing. It's a cheat, but what can you do?

DeleteBlack kitties are hard to photograph. Hopefully your kitties do not have earmites. Cats will scratch at their ears when they have mites or other infections. Yeah, mine even sometimes stand on two legs. Slinko in particular.

Geriatric kitty Jezebel does have aural issues, though her latest round of drops seem to have cleared it once again. Meanwhile, I imagine the two-legged pose is for other reasons, like food or play. :D
