Spring Has Sprung

Tulips Among the Prickly Pear Cacti

Delicate beauty in a shriveled daffodil...

Weeping Crabapple Tree

Buying a bag of mixed red and yellow
daffodils, only I could manage
to plant all monochrome
groupings ~sigh~

  1. I agree. It's been cold and wet here for weeks, but yesterday it was spring. I enjoyed it so very much.

Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Big hug. ♥

    1. Today is cloudy, windy, and cold! Heh... One never know from day to day. I'm glad you enjoyed some nice weather. And I can't complain because I mowed the lawn without being blinded by sweat. Take care, my dear.

  2. My prickly pear seems to be doing well; I planted it in the autumn. It's surrounded by tulips planted 20 years ago...I'd forgotten that they were there!

    1. Thank you. I do adore red and yellow mixed together but your spin on it makes me smile. Sad to report, today's cold sort of spoiled the petals. Oh, well. At least I could mow the grass without having heat stroke. :) Take care, my dear.

  4. Lovely pictures. It is a lovely time of year and a garden is such a comfort in these troubled times.

  5. Re: On my post of today... Oh yes, we had a party line, way back when, too!!!!! Small town, also. And I remember that then, that phone, was in a different place, in our home. It was "in-between" the dining room and living room... Which was also, not far from the kitchen.

But then, we had the one I refer to in my post, in the front hall, on a table, at the bottom of the stairs. Don't remember when or why, that change was made. -smile-

thank you for sharing, about the party line, which we both remember!!!!!!!!

    1. How cool, my dear, to share this memory. Even the placement of your family's phones sounds familiar. :)

  6. The last daffodil looks a little like a pansy to me, only because the photo is two dimensional.

    1. I agree that tulip does look more like a pansy. Wish I'd bought some of those annuals, by the way. They've been a favorite since childhood. Take care!
