I set up my water
bottle ice tray the other day and, upon opening the freezer door later, found
an ice ‘finger’ formed near the frozen spear's exact center. Seeing this pointed straight out at eye level disturbed my
husband, especially when I made the comparison with the legendary1982 science fiction/horror movie,
“The Thing.”

Overboard was a favorite of mine. It was most hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend, Darla. Big hug. ♥
I can see that! :) Hugs to you, too.
DeleteTequila Sunrise
ReplyDeleteNice answer!
ReplyDeleteThat is funny. The only movie I have seen with Kurt Russel was Overboard.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. There are so many. But that's a fun one, for sure, especially knowing they're still a couple. :) Be well!
DeleteHave you seen Bone tomahawk? It's quite a different sort of western. I liked it. Kurt Russell!
ReplyDeleteI have. It is a different sort of flick, for sure. Sad to say, I couldn't appreciate the plot premise enough to suspend disbelief and immerse myself. But I enjoyed seeing him act, and there are certainly worse movies. Thanks for the mention!
DeleteHOW did that happen?????????????? Do you have any possible idea???? It is quite cool. But Oddddd! -grin-

I'll have to do some research. My husband, a hard science guy, didn't know. Be well!
DeleteNOPE...I have not seen that. Your ice spike looks neat.
ReplyDeleteIt sure startled us. :)
DeleteI've never seen The Thing. I'm not sure I want to now - it sounds pretty creepy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a terrific scare. ~grin~
DeleteSo, apparently, a friend of a friend of a friend was a delivery driver. He delivered a TV or something of that sort to a home. Installed. The couple was very nice, and all. Only later did he figure out that he had delivered to Kurt Russell. (He didn't recognize the stars at the time.)
ReplyDeleteI can see this. He and Goldie Hawn always struck me as very down-to-earth. :)
DeleteAh, the ice spike looks awesome. I'll have to look up this movie.
ReplyDelete~grin~
DeleteDad was just reading an article about Kurt and Goldie the other day and commented to mom about their long relationship. Dad says he loved "The Thing", John Carpenter's remake especially. One of his most favorite parts was the guy's head splitting off his body and sliding to the floor, then sprouting spider legs- dad says I should stop now as I may be grossing out those who don't go for such stuff.
ReplyDeleteYour dad needs to see the making of video. ~grin~ Be well!
DeleteHi Darla,
ReplyDeleteHappens. It can be creepy. What I can relate to is shadows that look scary. For a moment I freeze. Then, I have to tell myself, hang on that is just a shadow!
It pays to be alert, though. So good on you!
