Monroe's On the Lake

Last week my partner and I went on a whirlwind tour of the southern United States to visit parents, my mother in hospital. After five straight days of travel and a different motel every night, I am very happy to be home and can happily say my parents are doing well as can be expected.

My favorite stay was at Monroe’s On the Lake. In fact, due to the busy nature of our trip I took more pictures there than anywhere. It’s an older facility but nicely appointed with cool furniture.

The best part of travel is coming home. Don’t you agree?

  1. Looks like the place had a nice, homely feel. Glad to hear your mum is doing OK. It's always nice to get home, I agree!

  2. I am glad your parents are doing OK now. That does look like a nice place. I definitely prefer to be home with my cats than to travel. We haven't been anywhere in over 2 years and before that, it was only about 1 night a year to NYC.

    1. Thank you, my dear. I'm sorry to say I've never been to New York City. I wanted to go in support of a local band in my youth. My significant other at the time was hesitant and changed my mind. ~sigh~ Wonder if I'll ever get there now.

  4. I love to travel but it will usually set off a flare with the fibro if I push to too much so as of late, I have stayed home. And that is a routine I plan to break. Love the furniture and glad to hear your mom and dad are doing okay. Really love the way the pillows are stacked.
