We got official word back
from the veterinarian. Tilly has a bladder infection. I’m actually relieved
considering the possibilities.
Apparently it’s bacterial, meaning
I’ll be giving her a liquid antibiotic for the next two weeks. We’ll see how
that goes. Then she goes back for another urinalysis. Wish us luck.
I was going to post a picture of the sweet, silly cat. But Blogger seems to be having technical issues. At least my kitty should recover. Maybe the messy water play will end, too.
What are you thankful for today?

Oh bless her heart. Now....how do you hold a cat down to give meds! Dogs are easier! Hoping that she feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteShe's actually been a real dear taking her hyperthyroid pill. Every now and then she managed to cheek the thing and spit it out. I just have to make sure my thumb pushes it past her tongue. ~shakes head~ Poor kitty. I don't know how well this liquid will go down. Thanks for the kind word!
DeleteGood to know she will be OK.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteVery good news!!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the kind word! Hopefully the medicine will work out well and she or I won't end up wearing the liquid.

ReplyDeleteThat certainly is something to be thankful for. I am thankful that today is as good yesterday and the day before.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Keith! So glad to find your comment. I've missed you. ~grin~ Still enjoying your flash fiction, for sure. Be well!
DeleteGood luck getting her to take the antibiotic.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful I have a working computer. (I had two weeks of spotty internet and doing anything was a chore. Turns out it was a computer issue.) And that my migraine of the last two days has passed. Happy days!
I'm so happy for you, Liz! My laptop battery issue is finally solved, too. Be well!
DeleteUTIs are horrid. Poor girl. I am glad it is treatable! HUGS.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Your kindness means a lot.
DeleteGlad it wasn't anything serious. I once adopted a cat who's owners were going to put him to sleep because he had a urinary infection. His name was Louis and he was awesome.
ReplyDeleteBless you for rescuing him, my dear. I am grateful that we live in an era where antibiotics still have an effect. Tilly is a goofball but we'd sure miss her.
DeleteHow is Tilly?
ReplyDeleteShe's great, actually. Thanks! I managed to get her antibiotic down pretty well this morning. We just wish she wouldn't splash water everywhere. The water bowl ends up filthy, as does everything she touches with those huge wet paws. I swear she could play a catcher in baseball. Now they're effective sponges with a clay litter additive. Ugh.
DeleteAt least you have a diagnosis and it wasn't anything more serious. Hope she makes an excellent recovery! Is that Tilly in your profile pic?
ReplyDeleteThank you! As for my profile pic, that kitten is the doppelganger almost of my first cat who was an adult when she 'adopted' me. We lost her to cancer a few years back and I still miss her terribly. Tilly is a dilute tortoiseshell cat who pretty much blends into our mottled brown carpeting. ~grin~ I need to watch I don't step on her if she lays in the middle of the hallway.
DeleteI'm glad that Tilly is doing ok. And I guess I'm always thankful for my wife. She's my guiding light and tends to keep me from being too much of a crazy just by being her.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robert. That's very kind. And that's a very sweet thing to say about your spouse. You made my day. Be well!
