Gratitude Circle - June of 2015

Is it really the fourth Thursday of June already? That means it's time to join the Gratitude Circle and link up with Vidya Sury. If you care to join in, you can pick up the badge below.

Please be sure to read Vidya's post here: Vidya Sury - Focusing On the Good Stuff. Now, on with my list.

I'm thankful...

1. For my ability to swim.

2. That I am writing a lot with Alan Watt's "The 90 Day Novel".

3. To have a hardworking neighbor who conscientiously cleaned a messy water leak for a fair price, actually enabling us to bypass an insurance claim. (Thanks, neighbor Dave!).

4. For having harvested several delicious tomatoes already.

5. To be financially well off enough that the new water heater and cleaning the basement did not drain our bank account.

Well, I hope you find many blessings in your day. And please share them in the comments!

  1. I love your practical gratitude..I really do. I can't believe you have tomatoes already. Isn't it great to be able to buy things that don't leave you financially spent sort of speak

  2. Thank you! The two patio tomato plants did have some fruits setting when I bought them, honestly. I doubt my garden would look nice or produce any food at all without help. ~blush~ An Earthbox movable planter really has those tomato plants doing well.

  3. Tomatoes, oh how I love them! So much that I take pictures every time I buy them. I am so glad you have a helpful neighbor - replacements and repairs can be terribly expensive! I keep trying to grow something in my balcony but the pigeons have a go at it and bring it to a swift and messy conclusion.

I am grateful for you, Darla! I am slowly getting back to my routine I think...:)

    1. Sorry to read about your pigeon problem. They can be a pain. I'm blessed that our local birds are pretty innocuous. My Earthbox is keeping the tomatoes safe from raccoons, fortunately. Blessings to you!

  4. I have attempted to learning swimming on more than one ocassion but failed at it. However, I love the feeling of being in the water and experiencing such lightness. How wonderful to have good neighbours and so nice of you to acknowledge him.
Thank you for joining our Gratitude Circle, Darla!

    1. My swimming technique is not pretty as I prefer to keep eyes out of the chlorine and ears free of water - it looks a little like a controlled drowning. ~grin~ I should also say I'm grateful to Mom for taking me to lessons as a little girl. She had a bad experience and never did like water. It's a joy to have found you. Thank you for this lovely circle.

    1. I'm so buoyant that I might be made of cork. Even when thin, I had no trouble floating. It's a joy.

How delightful to find one another through your wonderful friend Keith. ~grin~ Best wishes, my dear.

  6. I am very envious of you harvesting your tomatoes - it's winter here so no tomatoes for me at the moment. Enjoy.
