So much for friend/family loyalty, right? He filmed some of his later efforts, which will go in a future portfolio. His only regret is not filming all of them.
In the meantime he provides custom car repairs. The current project is a magnificent beast of a vehicle, a Ford Mustang GTS. Her owner requested both minor mechanical and some very precise cosmetic work on the hood. If too much varnish gets sanded off there’s no going back. So he’s experimenting on one of his own needing similar attention.

| The color is not my favorite but what counts is under the aforementioned hood and the stripped down design; less weight means greater racing speed. |
I find it interesting that cars and boats are both referred to as ‘she’ in American English. And that in linguistics, gender means ‘category’ or ‘type’ rather than biological sex. On that note, comedic essayist David Sedaris shared his hilarious struggle with the French language. I highly recommend you seek it out if you’re unfamiliar.
Do you know that Spanish and French adopted noun gender assignations from Latin? Is it not cool that this performance package model saw a limited release in 1995?

What a stunning car. Here cars are normally female. "She's a goer."
ReplyDeleteOur boat was a she. All boats are supposed to be a she. So many reasons too.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥
My ex-co-worker has a car in this color; it's racing blue, or something, and yeah, it's so showy!
ReplyDeleteIf you like cars, please consider visiting Metro Detroit in mid-August for the Woodward Dream Cruise.
You'll see thousands of cars, both rolling up and down the road or parked on the side. I'm not kidding...thousands.
Dear Darla, your neighbour sounds wonderful. I learned some things by watching people do them and also by YouTube videos. Not anything special, just helpful things such as how to clip a cat or bird's claws.
ReplyDeleteCleaning tricks as well.
For example, I use a squeegee to sweep instead of a broom. It is faster, more effective and less time consuming plus the squeegee covers a larger area at a time.
I still use the broom and dustpan, but just to pick up the dust and debris.
Thank you so much for sharing, dear friend.
I had such trouble figuring out masculine and feminine in French when I took it in school. I could not keep which was which straight. I guess that's what happens when it isn't something in your native tongue.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is some amazing ride, WOW!
ReplyDeleteWhat an eye catcher that car! I did not know custom ceiling headliners are a thing. Maybe I'll pretty mine up with a fancy sheet, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice car and I like the color- blue is my favorite. XO
