The sound of running water has always appealed to me. I prefer waves crashing onto a sandy beach but this will suffice for now. Sad to say, we don’t have so much as a pond or stream on our property.
I appreciate all who read my silly blog, but special thanks to Pam for checking in saying you missed fresh posts. And to answer your question, the new sink faucet is awesome!
My husband found this at a huge discount just because its package had been opened & we found not a single (!) missing part. |
While I can’t even tell from my own photo, would it bother you that the stainless steel finish doesn’t matched the soap dispenser’s brushed metal look? Would you be willing to pay upwards of five to seven hundred dollars (US) for such an apparatus?

I love that kitchen faucet. I'd pay for that in a hot second. I want something that's easy to use with those big pots and pans.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Darla. Big hug. ♥
~hugs~
DeleteI like your fountain, we like all things water, it is very calming. We have a faucet like that, our plumber had one that somebody ordered and then changed their mind so we got it as a good deal when we needed our kitchen faucet replaced.
ReplyDeleteThank you. And I am glad you got a good deal, too.
DeleteI do like the sound of water running, too. Bubbling. Good for you for getting the fountain installed.
ReplyDeleteYay for weight loss without the weight lifting and swimming. :) I love the faucet and it all matches from what I can see. XO
ReplyDeleteThanks! I do miss the gym and pool, but treasure extra time with our little family.
DeleteHi Darla! Thanks for the terrific post! If you don't say anything, people will never notice if the finish is not quite the same. Having been my Plumber husband's helper, I appreciate good fixtures. I think they are worth it! Especially if you don't have to pay full price! I LOVE your fountain and the cats over your sink! I hope you and your family have a marvellously happy week!

DeleteNope, not that much for a faucet. Mine works fine. I turn it on and water comes out. Ha.

DeleteFirst off, it's always good to hear anything positive, health-wise. Dad says he agrees with your water statement. He says he may miss the beach over time, but the overabundance of waterfalls surrounding us out here will more than make up for it. He, mom and his son are heading out this morning to The Gorges State Park, where there are lots of falls to hike to. He and mom don't like to have to pay through the nose for anything, so a bargain like your faucet is awesome. Last, I've gotta say- in mom and dad's opinions, if someone doesn't like the fact that this, that or the other thing doesn't match, tough tooties. They see absolutely nothing wrong with mismatched anything!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could go hiking with them! :) That sounds lovely. Thanks for all the kind words, sweet Cleo.
DeleteI too like the sound of running water ... :-)
ReplyDeleteI believe our daily chores themselves give us as much activity to keep our body in good shape. Way to go, Darla !
Take care.
Thank you! I like how your photo shows you smiling so bright upon a shoreline.
DeleteI like that you are able to do things like this for yourself. I have both eyes tied behind my back and seem unable all my adult life to follow assembly directions and put something together!
ReplyDelete~hugs~
DeleteAw, you are totally welcome. Would the fact that the two don't match bother me, they are both silver so prob not. If one was gold and the other silver...yep, prob so. When you talk mismatch, I don't like matchy things like my end tables, both different. Same with night stands...So cool about the fountain. I love the bubbling sound. Like you I would rather be sitting at the beach but hey, we do what we gotta do. Now when I say you gotta do what you gotta do but I am sure hubs would be happy if your desire to hear water has nothing to do with you standing in front of that new faucet to hear said water!!!! haha
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteI'm glad the previous Owners updated everything for us when we bought this property last February, saved me a Reno mess and the agony of choosing finishes and such, as well as individual sticker shock. Now I just get to pay for it all over 30 Years at an incredibly historically low Interest Rate... Win-Win.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! :)
