Joy – One Pretty Boy and a Horse

Last night I was looking at my jacket worn to the Palaye Royale concert thinking it really should go to the dry cleaner. That got me recalling the show and what joy I found meeting Remington Leith and Emerson Barrett. Imagine my amusement upon finding these images of Emerson on social media today.

A Joyful Performer

Seeing him and his brothers happy never fails to make me smile so it seemed worthwhile to share the joy. Gotta love someone who adores horses.

I've ridden lots of horses in my younger years. Love to ride.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Darla. ♥

    1. Neat, Sandee! My dad wants to go riding with me at a local park this spring. Don't know whether it will happen, but we enjoyed it years ago. They were retired Clydesdales - huge tame beasts enjoying an easy life taking tourists out a few days a week over well worn trails. Thank you for the kind word.

  2. Great pictures! You've heard of my own mishap on a horse. (wry grin) He has a really good vibe with this horse, it's very sweet to see.

  4. Yes, I have ridden a horse. Been a long time ( I was 20)! I have never been on Misfire. The last time she was rode was about 15 yrs ago, she threw my niece, a rider most of her life. So....I am not thinking that I will be riding her! I hurt enough without being thrown.

    1. I always share your story with friends, how much you achieve and how you take care of farm animals when you can't ride. You're amazing.

  7. I had a horse briefly, Aspen, a stubborn quarter horse mare. I road bareback because I could not afford a saddle. I kept her at a remote location with trails galore out in the mountains when I was younger and could ride the hills for miles there. Later, when I went to college in Corvallis, I moved her to a stables north of town. She was so stubborn that when I'd ride with one lady, who had an Arabian mare, very high spirited and we went up the logging roads, if Jinxy, the Arabian, began to gallop, Aspen a quarter horse, known for running ability for only a very short distance (quarter mile, hence their name), would take off like a bolt to keep up or even pass Jinxy. She could not tolerate a horse ahead of her on the run.
