Weighing in on the Weather

Winter Moon
I tend to like winter, especially not needing to sweat buckets mowing the grass every few days. This cold weather is a bit extreme, though, if for no other reason than we’re going to have a high electric bill maintaining the house at 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lucky me doesn’t need to go out much but even indoors the chill keeps my nose perpetually cold and wet, making me feel like it’s official and I’ve turned into a housecat. I don’t nap, though, too happy writing.

These two adorable bums don’t have a care in the world. They have no clue how blessed are their lives.

What’s your preferred way to weather the cold, or heat, for those of you in warmer climes?

  1. What is it with cats and paper bags? Your cats are so adorable! I just want to snuggle up with both of them. It's cold here today, but fortunately I have a space heater to keep the boat toasty.

  2. Winter brings on more intense pain but...I prefer it more than the heat of the summer cause with the fibro and the meds I tend to sweat buckets. I actually feel like I am melting. That makes me feel HORRIBLE. I don't cut my yard, I have an amazing younger brother that does that for me and in return I take care of his animals when he goes on vacation. How do I weather the weather (haha)? I stay in during the heat and the cold! Actually I have been getting out more in the cold lately messing with the horses. It's hard on my body but I hope that if I cont to push it will help me to stop giving in to the pain and fatigue so much.

  3. We haven't gotten too cold, but I have space heaters and blankets for that eventuality. And I could even pull out one of my scarves! Not that I have many. (I'm a knitter and I don't own many scarves. LOL.)

  4. They are such cuties, glad they have a wonderful home. I prefer the cold, although we have had several nights below zero which is a little too cold. And 10 inches of snow today.

    1. Ouch, that's a lot of snow. I'm happiest when temperatures are in the fifties or sixties, a rarity. ~grin~ Be safe!

  5. I am a cold weather girl. I cannot take heat. I always say that you can always put more clothes on, but you can only take so much off.
As for Tilly? She does that because she can. She loves that bag. This proves it.
    Love you, little sister. 😉

    1. I agree with that saying, for sure. Right now my toes are cold, though. Brrr... Tilly is a goofy girl. Hugs to you, sis. ~grin~ Be well.

  6. I am lucky to live in a mild part of the UK - the worst we get is the occasional gale force wind, snow about once every five years and a heatwave once in a blue moon!

    That's Purrfect
