Thursday Thirteen - Images From My Hot Air Balloon Ride
I''ve had these on my camera for a while and it's high time I share. They're by no means professional grade photographs of the dual balloon flights, but I hope you enjoy...
These are lovely photos. I had a chance to ride a hot air balloon once at the local fair they had free rides. They'd take you up about fifty feet then bring you right down again. Sort of a hot air balloon elevator. I went with my sister (we were both in our twenties) and she thought it would be boring so we didn't do it.
Twice now I have seen a hot air balloon even go right over my home. It so lovely to see the balloons fill the sky.
Gorgeous! I want to do this some time in the next year or two. I have an issue with heights, but I'm willing to deal for the chance to see these viewpoints first hand. :)
Thanks for the kind comments. We did enjoy sparkling wine after the fact, with a story on how early French balloon enthusiasts would garner favor with the unsuspecting landowners whose property they landed upon. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thursday!
OMG! I'm SO jealous! I've always wanted to go on a balloon ride! Great pictures, Darla! Happy Thursday!

ReplyDeleteI would love to do this, too! Wow! I think Autumn has to be the best time to go on a balloon ride, with all the colors changing, etc.
