Today I thought I would share the wondrous designs of Italian hatmaker Borsalino in honor of my Great Aunt. She's gone now, but I still have some of her own domestic collection. Aunt Mildred would have loved some of these!

For the last one, I had to go old school with a classic. My favorites, though, have to be the headbands. Maybe it's time to go shopping. Another excuse to go to Japan, perhaps? The latest boutique opened there in 2007. And what is more important than good head gear?
Ooh, I want #9!
ReplyDeleteI've never been one for hats, but some of these are pretty cool looking.
ReplyDeleteHappy T13!
LOVE hats!these are great esp 4, 8 , 11 and 12.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments! I have a hair clip similiar to #9 - a giant black rose with long feathers coming out from behind. The boss always teases that I got attacked by a rosebush. I can't figure out how number 6 stays on a person's head.
ReplyDeleteLove the headbands! Very cool!

oooh! hats. I like hats. Too bad I look so bad in hats.
ReplyDeleteI'll take 9 and 12, and would love to see hubby in the first one.
ReplyDeleteCool list!
I'm not much of a hat person, either, but agree with you that the headbands are kind of cool. There's a sort of Roaring 20s feel about them.
ReplyDeletePaige, *hugs back*. You're right, Heather, I can see my grandmother wearing one in her flapper days. And I'm with you on number one, Tatiana, definitely! Elise, I'll bet you're being to hard on yourself. For some reason, maybe due to the shape of my face, hats do suit me but I spend too much money on my hair these days. Heh... Maybe I should splurge on one of these and go back to my practice of wearing a hat one day a week. I noticed the website didn't list prices, nor sell them online, though. :( Road trip!
ReplyDeleteI'm not so big on 9 or 12 as they are the type to give me a headache, but I'd love to have any of the rest.
ReplyDeleteDarla, You were picked as the winner of Scarlett Jameson's book giveaway at the Fierce Romance blog. Congratulations! I noticed you're a follower of Riley Quinn's. Could you contact her on her blog. Thanks.!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat collection!
There's just nothing like a sharp hat to complete an outfit, I tell ya! And my hubby looks sooooo good in hats, it's just criminal! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
Oh very, very cool!!!! I love hats. I just look funny in them. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I won a book and I've got some really nice comments. Thank you, dears. I'm glad I could offer a little diversion. I've noticed hats always turn heads, almost like you've grown a second one! Perhaps it's time to dig through my stash.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Hats! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear hats, but I do like a nice one with a brim. What I'd like is a good, old fashioned fedora, just like Indiana Jones.
ReplyDeleteOnly, black... to match my trench coat.
Those are some beautiful hats. I think my hubby would like the last one to wear.
ReplyDeleteHappy TT.
Janice~
I love hats! #4 and #10 are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteMaddy, you might have just picked my favorites. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
