Day by day I feel more at
ease in my own skin, absurd anxiety levels slipping and joy of existence
rising. We continue facing unexpected expenses and frustrations. For one thing,
we just handed over a few hundred dollars (US) for plumbing work. And damaging insects are breeding in records numbers, forcing me to target them with stinky poisons while trying to protect the pollinators and birds.
But the toilets are working great and it’s important to
remember the excellent support my husband provides. We make a great team, and his patience through
my downward spiral and slow recovery are well worth another mention.
Now, as to the title, here
are a few photographs of sweet things in and around my home.

Does warm weather bring
butterflies to your yard?
Love butterflys and I love watching them fly around the yard....however I have issue taking pics of them since they seem to move faster then I do!! haha...Thinking my clicking finger is having issues clicking! Wow...what a kitty condo! Loving it. Lily loves the one mom got her for Christmas. She can get up high on the flat spot, I did however put her fave basket up there and every day when I can't locate her, she is there. Looks like you have a green thumb. Me, just flowers and this yr they are not even doing so well. I started mixing horse poop in with my dirt back in the fall but then there was colder days, hospital visits and mom's death that threw me off so I never got back to doing it...then I started moving the one bed. Maybe next yr. Glad that you feel like you are getting back to some normal. Me....not sure really what that is anymore. haha
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you, my dear! And thank you for the kind words. I don't really have a green thumb; plants either overrun things or die out. Heh... But we keep trying. Be well!
DeleteI hope you don't have anymore unexpected expenses for a very long time. I hate those too.
ReplyDeleteYes on the butterflies. They are most welcome in our yard.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Darla. ♥
Hurray for pollinators! Best wishes, my dear.
DeleteOh yes, I've been seeing butterflies. And all sorts of flying insects. There's this red one that looks dragonfly-ee, but I'm not sure what it is.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your anxiety. That stuff is crippling. I hope you have some help with that.
Thanks! I am improving under a doctor's care alongside my patient husband. Your insect might be a damsel fly, but that's a random guess. Take care!
DeleteViceroy because of the black line at the bottom of the wings. My hubby is a butterfly geek :)We have a bunch of milkweed to attract the monarchs, it looks awful, but they love it. Nice cucumber harvest. Sorry about the plumbing expenses :( Nice to see Jezebel on her throne.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the information! I thought the butterfly was a bit small. I adore you and your family.
DeleteI love that butterfly photo and so happy Jezebel is doing well.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you!
DeleteThat is an awesome cat tree!!! My cat would love something like that :)
ReplyDeleteWe have three that my father built! Too bad I can't afford to ship one to you as only the one cat out of two still climbs that high. Be well!
Deleteawesome article,
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing and have a nice day
Thanks for your sweet comment today. I tell you, I used to just jump in feet first. I made up my mind and went with it. Fibro has changed all that. I know you understand dealing with what you deal with. Such a shame that we work so hard all our lives to get to a point that something like anxiety and pain gets in our way of having a decent life. Since my accidents driving has become an issue. I do it, but I panick with other cars around me. With other issues like the skin, twitching in the legs, numb toes, dizzy spells...etc I have found myself having small anxiety attacks. This past yr has been a major turning point with the fibro, probably more so then in the past 12 yrs. Hang in there, glad you are getting better.
ReplyDeleteYour struggles are so much worse. ~hugs~ At least I don't have major physical issues.
DeleteSo glad you are getting back on track. The support of a good man is such a help - and also the love of a good cat! As for butterflies, we have a huge Buddleia bush in our garden and yesterday it was absolutely covered in butterflies - such a sight for sore eyes! Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you. And what a treat for you! I'm glad. Be well, my dear.
Deletebutterfly, insects and birds (small and medium size) are coming to my back yard...
ReplyDelete# Have a wonderful summer
Nice!
DeleteYes, butterflies on Cone Flowers!!!!
ReplyDeleteStopped at bottom of driveway, coming home today, to watch one. Sooooooo pretttttty. Love the Cone Flowers anyway, but with butterflies... Beautiful!!!!!
And yes, it looked very like a Monarch...
Oh yes, we have to pay attention to the sweet/nice things. Often, the simple things.
I did a post recently, which touched on this. :-) Keep our focus on the nice.....
I am brand new here, so don't know about your troubles. But very happy they are leaving.
Gentle hugs,
✨💛✨
